Legacy-Nichole Nordeman

Sharing this song on Mother's Day after a long hiatus from blogging because it's a song that my own Momma shared with me years ago.
I remember listening to this song for the first time and, even as a much younger girl then, understanding that everything my Momma did was in hopes of leaving a legacy that pointed to Christ. 
In my humble and biased opinion, she's nailed it.

I very easily get caught up in succeeding in earthly things that don't have any true value to them, but not my Momma. 
She is one of those people whose heart is so full of Christ's love that she glows.
That love has transformed her into a woman who is leaving behind the right kind of legacy.

I count myself blessed because so many of the women in my family are carving out the exact same legacy.
It inspires and encourages me to seek Kingdom things over earthly ones.
Like Nichole says in the song:
"Not well-traveled, not well-read
Not well-to-do, or well-bred.
Just want to hear instead,
Well done, good and faithful one."

Thanks Momma, for leaving a legacy of a faithful one.
Your life points all who know you to the saving work of God.
