Annie's Song-John Denver

My Momma sang this sweet song to me often as I was growing up and while I didn't do much dreaming about a wedding before meeting Matthew, I always knew this would be the song I walked down the aisle to. It's one of those songs I can't listen to without crying. I thought it would be the perfect tune to kick off Valentines week! I know I'm in the minority, but I love celebrating Valentine's Day! I think it all began with the cute parties in elementary school, was enhanced when I got to participate in delivering Singing Valentines during high school choir, and sustained by my love for LOVE. I'm well aware it's over commercialized, but I can't help it! I think celebrating love is important, every day of course, not just February 14th.

I'm sharing "my song" with you today, because I just don't know that there is a song out there with sweeter or more pure sentiments. I'm hoping that you will share it with the someone that drifts into your mind when these lyrics make their way into your heart.
